I was captivated with this story.  Short read but held a powerful tale and a sad one too.  The love spell and spell casters, how do they come up with something like that?  Oh wait Linda Casebeer did.  I was intrigued by Angelique and yet inspired by her determination but sometimes, I don't agree with her decisions.  Surviving is the answer but not always pretty, though.  I did enjoy the story very much and all the sadness and struggles.  But here it comes, left me hanging at the end.  Awww..... why?  I know there's a reason for this madness.  I like Casebeer writing style sharp and to the point, which continued to move me throughout the story.  Thank you, Darlene Cruz   I won this book on BookLikes giveaway.
